Confidence isn’t something you’re born with – it’s something you build
The Confidence Breakthrough is a practical, no-fluff guide to building real confidence, the kind that doesn’t just help you look the part, but actually helps you feel grounded, capable, and like yourself.
It’s based on the same proven framework I teach in the face-to-face, virtual and online programmes, and brings together everything I’ve learned from 30 years of personal growth, coaching, mindset work, and professional development.
How This Book Can Help You
Whether you’re reading it alongside the course or completely on its own, this book is designed to help you:
- Break free from self-doubt and silence your inner critic
- Communicate with clarity and confidence

- Step outside your comfort zone without losing yourself
- Develop the mindset and habits to grow in both your career and your self-belief
It’s packed with tools, real-world strategies, and honest insights, plus exercises to help you put it all into practice straight away.

This is the book I wish someone had handed me in my twenties. If you’re ready to stop second-guessing yourself and start showing up with genuine confidence, this book is for you.
The Story Behind The Confidence Breakthrough Book
In my twenties, I struggled with something a lot of people don’t talk about – looking confident on the outside, but feeling like a complete imposter on the inside.
I second-guessed myself constantly, held back in meetings, and stayed quiet even when I had something valuable to say. And public speaking? I’d have sooner jumped off a cliff.
That started to change when I made the decision to learn how I could think – and feel – differently. That choice kicked off a long journey of self-discovery. But to be honest, it wasn’t easy. I had to piece everything together from a mix of sources, trialling a lot of things that didn’t work (and cost me time and money along the way).
Eventually, though, I found the right tools and techniques, and things began to shift. Not only did I start to feel more at ease in my own skin, but the results started showing up on the outside too. People listened to me, they valued my input, and I started getting the recognition at work that I’d been craving. And, strangely enough, by facing my fear of public speaking, I discovered my biggest passion: public speaking! That moment changed everything and set me on a new career path in Learning & Development, helping professionals build the confidence and skills they need to succeed at work.
I’ve always loved writing too, which led me to create Blokes, Beers & Burritos – a self-help novel wrapped up in saucy fiction and travel tales. But whenever I delivered my Confidence Breakthrough course, people would ask: “Is there a book I can read to keep this going?”
As much as I wanted to recommend Blokes, Beers & Burritos, handing over a saucy self-help novel in a corporate training session didn’t quite feel right. So I had a brainwave: why not write a book that covers everything I teach in the course, but in a clear, practical, standalone format I’d actually feel comfortable handing out?
And that’s why I wrote The Confidence Breakthrough.
